Tracie Ross

Board Member

Tracie is one of the founders and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hershel Woody Williams Medal of Honor Foundation. She is a nationally certified interpreter for the Deaf and has worked as an educational interpreter for the Deaf in the school system for 28 years. In addition to her work in the public school system, Tracie is also a certified American Sign Language instructor and has taught at Mountwest Community College as well as the Adult Education program at Cabell County Career and Technical Center. Within the West Virginia Department of Education, Tracie is one of two interpreters who serve as mentors to other educational interpreters in the state of West Virginia.


Tracie also enjoys working as a freelance interpreter in her community which has allowed her experiences ranging from interpreting live theatre at Marshall University to interpreting for the Deaf at her church. Her work experiences have fed her desire to reach the Deaf Gold Star family members in all 50 states, letting them know about the Foundation and the goal of honoring them and their fallen Heroes.


Tracie resides in Barboursville, WV. Her family includes her husband David Ross and two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, woodworking and pottery. Tracie is also a horse enthusiast and loves spending time outdoors.
